Coursier isn't in the plugin catalog
- Check the repository URL under Dashboard → Plugins → Repositories. It must be exactly:
https://connect.coursier.io/plugin/manifest.json - The plugin needs Jellyfin 12 or later. Older versions don't list it. Check your version under Dashboard → General (or the About section).
- Reload the catalog page after adding the repository.
Dashboard → Coursier is missing after installing
Restart Jellyfin. Plugins only load after a restart. If it still doesn't appear, check Dashboard → Plugins: the plugin should be listed as Active. If it shows an error, update Jellyfin, then reinstall the plugin.
The activation code doesn't work
- Codes work once, for 10 minutes. Select Generate new activation code on the server's card in your account and paste the new one.
- Paste all 16 characters, without spaces.
- If the plugin says it can't reach Coursier, see step 4 of "Server offline" page.
Start over on the same Jellyfin
- On the plugin's page, under Troubleshooting, select Disconnect this server. This removes the plugin's credentials and identity from Jellyfin; the server stays in your account.
- On the server's card in your account, select Generate new activation code and enter it on the plugin's page. The address stays the same.
Moved Jellyfin to a new computer, reinstalled it, or lost it
A server belongs to one Jellyfin installation at a time. To move it to another one:
- Install the plugin on the new installation.
- On the server's card in your account, open Replace or remove this server and select Get a code for a new installation (or Generate new activation code, which does the same for a server that is already connected).
- Enter the code on the new installation's Coursier page. It takes over the server with the same address, custom name and own domain; the previous installation stops working for good, within seconds.
If you restored Jellyfin's whole configuration on the new computer, the plugin keeps working without any of this.
If a computer with your Jellyfin was stolen, connecting a new installation is all it takes: the stolen one can never connect through Coursier again.
"This Jellyfin's Coursier identity was revoked"
This installation was replaced by another one, or revoked by Coursier support, and can't connect as it is. Select Disconnect this server under Troubleshooting, generate a new activation code in your account, and enter it here.
Remove a server you no longer use
On its card, open Replace or remove this server and select Remove this server. It frees its place in your plan. Its address stops working and is never given to anyone else.
Where to find the logs
In Jellyfin, open Dashboard → Logs and open the most recent log. Lines from the plugin mention Coursier. Include them if you contact support, after removing anything you consider private.
